Do you know the difference between a motion and a subpoena? Have you ever wondered what it means in to have a case "decided on a technicality"? Maybe you're interested in pursuing a career in the field of law but are not sure whether it's for you. In this course we will explore an overview of the legal system, learn the nuts and bolts of procedural law and about navigating the court system in the state of Connecticut. We will discover why the system is necessarily complex in some ways and straightforward in others.
