Description

Learn the Basics and more in Drumming from Tom DeFaria. Tom DeFaria has played drums and toured the world as a member of the Blood, Sweat and Tears band, as well as with Salsa greats Luis ‘Perico’ Ortiz and Chico Mendoza. He has also worked with many R&B legends including Etta James, Chuck Berry, Ben E King, and The Drifters. Tom plays locally in Southeastern CT with The Franklin Brothers Band, Andre Danford, and others.

Classes will provide instruction on holding drumsticks, playing rhythm rudiments for the snare drum, rhythm notation and beginning reading. 

Additional Notes

Students would need to supply their own drumsticks, a drum practice pad and the following book, “Stick Control for the Snare Drum by George Lawrence Stone”. (Available on Amazon)
