New York Botanical Gardens Kusama's Exhibit
"The 250-acre outdoor space in the Bronx will be transformed into a manifestation of Kusama’s vast imagination, with larger-than-life sculptures and immersive installations nestled within the botanical garden like some surreal Alice in Wonderland set."
Hot show for 2021! The NY Botanical Garden presents a major exhibition exploring the work of celebrated Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama.
Your PLUS ticket will give access to her signature Mirrored Infinity Room, Monumental Polka Dot Pumpkins, greenhouse installation and more.
The exhibition will be installed across the Garden's 250 acres and in several of its historic buildings. Outdoor works will include large-scale sculptures. The Haupt Conservatory will display a spectacular horticultural tribute to Kusama based on one of her vibrant paintings. The Mertz Library Building will feature immersive experiences as well as examples of her earlier work. Many of these will be on view for the first time in the U.S.
Spend the day on your own to enjoy the grounds. Your "KUSAMA PLUS PASS" includes entrance to all of the Kusama exhibits, as well as the narrated tram throughout the garden. There is a delightful gift shop & café too.
After the garden, we'll head over to Arthur Avenue to grab a bite to eat (on own) or to purchase some delicious Italian foods to take home.
