Description

This exciting and fascinating course introduces you to how the beginnings of photography influenced the Impressionist painters and what was to become Impressionism in France from the early 1860’s to the late 1880’s.  Learn the history of how Impressionistic painters such as Degas, Monet, Pissarro, Renoir, and others used the pioneering techniques of early photography to influence their compositional techniques when creating their pioneering “new look” that was often rejected and misunderstood, especially early on.
