Description

Beyond basic pastel methods and techniques, this class will explore taking your knowledge to the next step. We’ll begin with working with a variety of materials to create our own unique surfaces for our pastel paintings. We will work with under washes to kickstart our work and learn to manipulate materials to achieve distinctive effects. Join us in this exploration of pure pigment Pastels and broaden your skills.

Materials fee: $10 paid at registration.

 Materials: In addition to the materials that will be supplied, these are the materials necessary for this class. You are welcome to bring substitutions or alternatives if you have them.

 Be sure to purchase chalk Pastels:

• Soft Pastels- Choose a set of 24 or more that suits your budget.

• Chalk No Oil pastels

• Charcoal Pencils black, white, brown 1 each 
  

• Paper Blending Stumps and Tortillions 

   

• Kneaded Eraser 
  

• Krylon K01306 Workable Fixatif Spray Clear, 11-Ounce Aerosol,Matte

• Optional- *These blending tools may also be a good tool to have for manipulating color.
