Drawing is more than simply lines, proportion, and accuracy, - drawing is a way to organize positive/negative space and create a complete composition. This series of one-day workshops explores ways to create and refine your composition skills when designing your paintings and drawings. Each workshop addresses general principles of design and applies them to specific situations and challenges of various subject genres. Each session will include concepts and exercises in the morning, followed by individual application to personal projects in the afternoon. A variety of media will be used. Take the series or any individual session. Suitable for all levels.

Composing Figures

This one-day workshop will concentrate on placement, scale and point-of-view when including figures in your compositions in order to communicate content and emotion in your artwork.
